The Analog Devices LTC4267CGN#PBF is an IEEE 802.3af Powered Device (PD) with Power Switch ICs, which consists of both switching regulator and LAN port. The device is a complete power over Ethernet (PoE) solution for systems where space and cost are constraints. It features integrated power-management and switching functions — including inrush current protection, short-circuit protection, variable dynamic voltage-threshold protection, and robust ESD protection — to ensure fault-free operation and regulatory compliance. It also integrates onboard programmable capacitance for optimized performance in power-line communication applications. The device is capable of withstanding input transients, such as reversed polarity, drastic voltage transients, and high inrush currents. It offers additional features such as an enable pin to provide power up sequencing, a reset pin to restart the Power IC upon a fault, and a high-current drive output transistor. The low-profile PBF package provides excellent thermal management and circuit board space savings.
