This module is high contrast, wi de viewing angle triplecolor e ink Display for Raspberry Pi.
The eink screen can customize t he picture when it is powered on, the picture will not
disappear after power off, and it ca n be displayed for a long t ime. The display area of this
module is 2.7 inches which conta ins 264x176 pixels. Each pixel can display red, white and
black.
Eink screen also known as Epape r screen has lots of advantage s compared with
traditional backlight display li ke LCDs. It can display images or words like paper, even
without any electricity, the ima ge can last in a long time. Sin ce it does not require a
backlight, it can be clearly dis played in direct sunlight with very high contrast a nd ultra
wide viewing angle .
We've released two eink display for Arduino, the Grove Triple Color EInk Display
2.13'' and the Grove Triple Color EInk Display1.54'', today we bring you the 2.13'' Triple
Color EInk Display for Raspberry P i and the 2.7'' TripleColor EInk Display for Raspberry
Pi. Actually, they can work as a pi hat, you jus t need to plug those displays into your
Raspberry pi via the Raspberry pi GPIO header. The EInk commun icates with the
Raspberry pi with the 4 wire SPI interf ace.
At the same time, we have reserved a Grove I2C interface for using othe r I2C modules with
this screen and a Grove digita l interface which breakout two di gital pin. We have added a
voltage conv ersion module to the screen so that you can use bot h 3.3v and 5v modules. And
with the two user buttons, you ca n switch between dif ferent ima ges easily.
