ronixThe SIT232EWE with RS232 ICs SOPW-16 RoHS is a miniature serial communication interface (SCI) controller designed and manufactured by SITronix. It is a 5V single-chip solution capable of operating up to 256Kbps and interfacing with standard RS-232 devices. It features low power consumption, an advanced low-level communication protocol, high speed communication, and a robust EMC design with EMC immunity up to 10KV/m. The integrated watchdog timer monitors internal operations and can reset the device when necessary. The SOPW-16 version of the chip also features 16 addressing lines giving it access to up to 64Kb of isolated memory. The device is RoHS compliant and it is suitable for applications such as industrial control, medical devices, video surveillance, and automotive applications.
